Socio economic description

The locals from the two communes close to the natural protected areas (Nistoreşti and Păuleşti) capitalize on the economic resources specific to the area through various activities: wood exploiting and rough processing, wood finite processing at local level (including furniture production in Păuleşti), animal breeding (cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry) and animal product processing, cultivating the agricultural land, collecting and processing forest fruits and forest products, mountain agrotourism, forestry, carpentry, joinery.

Also, the advantages these communities can offer to investors include raw materials (wood), products (milk, meat, fruits, forest fruits) and labor.
